Lara Julia Bean Flower Artist

Lara Julia Bean is an artist and botanist based in Angle Walled Garden on the Angle Peninsula, South Pembrokeshire, South Pembrokeshire.  She specialises in growing everlasting flowers of which she uses as the medium to create installations, from intimate to dynamic. Bringing the natural world into our living space with all its colour and wonder, shapes and form.

Lara's work challenge ones perception of flowers as transient decorations. Instead she uses each flower as a letter through which to create a poem. Bringing these natural forms together to evoke emotion. An experience. inspired by a fascination with how being immersed in the colours of nature has power to shape state of mind.

Lara is currently working on a number of projects including:

An immersive floral installation, an an exciting collaboration with Museum Wales, Orial y Park St Davids and ART ROOMS, a national touring collection from Tate and National Galleries Scotland.
