Lara Julia Bean Flower Artist
I am a Welsh artist and botanist at Angle Walled Garden on the Angle Peninsula, South Pembrokeshire. My passion is growing everlasting flowers of which I use as the medium to create sculptures and installations, from intimate to dynamic. Bringing the natural world into our living space with all its colour and wonder, shapes and form.
Through my work I aim to challenge the perception of flowers as transient decorations. Instead using each flower as a letter through which to create a poem. Bringing these natural forms together to evoke emotion. An experience inspired by a fascination with how being immersed in the colours of nature has power to shape state of mind.
